Project Need

  • This circuit is among the lowest reliability performers on the BGE transmission systems. Rebuilding this line addresses multiple reliability concerns including; aging infrastructure, aging conductor splices and avian interference

Project Description

  • The scope of the project is to remove the existing two single-circuit 115 kV tower lines (CKT 110901-1 & 110901-2) and replace with a new single-circuit monopole structure line
  • Overall project length is approximately 1.8 miles
  • This project is subject to PSC approval and design changes
